U.S. House Minority Leader John Boehner Signs Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment Petition

West Chester, Ohio, September 19, 2010 – Congressman John Boehner, who represents Ohio’s 8th District, has joined thousands of other Ohio voters in signing a petition to allow Ohioans to vote on the proposed Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment.  Boehner, the Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, signed the petition while in his home district.

The Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment would free Ohioans from the individual mandates of Federal health care legislation.  The amendment would preserve the right of Ohioans to choose their own health care and health care insurance coverage, and make their own medical decisions.  As a Constitutional Amendment, it would specifically protect health care choice as a right of all Ohioans.

Twenty states have filed suit against the federal government to restore the rights set to be stripped from their citizens by provisions of the federal legislation, and several states have taken other measures to protect the rights of their citizens.  Since the governor and legislature of the State of Ohio refused to act to protect their constituents, the Ohio Liberty Council, a volunteer group of conservative citizens, proposed the Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment and has led the effort to place it on the ballot for a vote by all Ohio citizens.  Not only did Ohio fail to act, but the citizens’ group was forced to obtain a ruling from the Ohio Supreme Court to stop Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and the Ohio Ballot Board from blocking the petition effort by what many Ohioans consider an abuse of their powers.

“It’s a sad day when citizens must override their elected officials to protect their rights.  Neither our statehouse nor Attorney General would answer this federal challenge to personal liberty.  It now falls on the shoulders of concerned citizens to do the heavy lifting,” said Chris Littleton of the Ohio Liberty Council.  The State of Ohio requires 402,275 valid signatures of Ohio voters to force the issue onto the ballot, and collection of signatures is now well underway–all obtained by citizen volunteers.

Is your state trying to break the Union? Is there a city in your state promoting the boycott of 1 state – ARIZONA – of these United States of America? This is total direct disrespect to the U.S. Constitution which is breaking the highest law of our Republic. The U.S. Constitution clearly states in

Article IV – The States

Section 1 – Each State to Honor all others

Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.

No other state has the right to attempt to subjugate another state. Nor does the President, Vice-President, U.S. Congress, U.S. Supreme Court, Governor, Mayor, your Union Leader, or your Boss. We the People have the right to visit where we like, purchase what we like, in whichever state we like. Illegal Aliens go Home, you have no vote, and those liberal, left-leaning, socialist, progressive, Democratic groups that once suckered you in (and your money) and to which you belong to (and are badgered by) can not keep all the promises that they have made. Their leader, Mr. Obama, is failing miserably on this same principle (broken promises and lies that never end), and now will be throwing all organizations under the bus as he tries to protect his own behind. The gig is up and America is waking up. We the People play for keeps and are not sheep.

My thought: Notice there is always a holiday disruption instigated by the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader that is hounded and supported by the Executive Branch (Bogus POTUS and his minions). Congress appears to be held hostage by another branch of government. How is this democracy? It’s not! The Health Care Bill is unconstitutional and they know it! The Liberal Progressive Democrats have knowingly destroyed their party, the 2010 polls and beyond will prove this to be true. They must realize that within two voting cycles i.e. 2012 their destructive ploys will be negated and they can and will be prosecuted for treason.

House GOP Leaders to Force Vote Tomorrow on Measure Blocking “Slaughter Solution” GOP Leader: “The ‘Slaughter Solution’ has sparked widespread outrage because it’s designed to protect Washington politicians when it’s American taxpayers we should be looking out for.” Washington, Mar 17 -House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) announced that House Republicans will force a vote tomorrow on a resolution requiring a clean, up-or-down vote on the Senate-passed health care bill.  If adopted by the House, the resolution would prohibit Speaker Pelosi and Democratic Leaders from implementing the “Slaughter Solution,” the controversial scheme by which the Senate health care bill would be deemed as passed by the House without an actual up-or-down vote. “The ‘Slaughter Solution’ has sparked widespread outrage because it’s designed to protect Washington politicians when it’s American taxpayers we should be looking out for,” Boehner said. “Speaker Pelosi and Democratic Leaders, who promised to lead the ‘most open’ Congress in history, thought they could pull a fast one on the American people, but they were wrong.  This vote will give Democrats an opportunity to demonstrate whether they share Republicans’ commitment to ensuring the American people get what they deserve: a clean, up-or-down vote on the Senate health care bill.  The stakes are too high, and this bill is too controversial, for anything less than total accountability.” House Republicans will offer the text of the resolution as the “PQ” (“previous question”) for the suspension authority rule that is expected to be considered on the floor Thursday.  The text of the resolution, introduced by Rep. What was the harm of commenting on the miraculous achievement of Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts? Many Arkansans including myself supported his campaign. There’s no Senatorial support of constituents in Arkansas! How cowardly!

Well, 2010 Arkansans will see an accessible, conservative candidate ousting Blanche Lincoln from her Senate seat, by way of election. Might be a good time to look into brushing up that resume of yours, Blanche. And just a head’s up, it’s not Bush or Cheney’s fault – You Own It, Embrace It! You could always pull a “Vic Snyder”!
