Comics Have Gone From Ashcan Editions to Trash Can Editions

I don’t have a problem with anyone doing their own thing in the privacy of their own home or bathhouse… but don’t bring it into mine no matter how ‘innocently’ it’s attempted…

Case in point:  DC Comics AND Marvel Superheroes Come Out of the Closet

Why does sexuality now need to be a key component of comic books? Don’t superheroes have enough villains to battle? What’s next? Will superheroes spout religious teachings and associations? The only REVELATION this tawdry turn proves is that comic producers have, at this time in history, weak story writers and a lack of any creative staff.

But DC Comics obviously doesn’t want any input

  1. In reading the boys, there is a gritty realism that most superhero comic books don’t even come close to talking about. What happens when an innocent person gets caught in a brawl between good and evil superheroes? Who polices the superheroes? Who will make sure that the superheroes won’t just do whatever they fancy? I mean, who’s going to stop them?
