Unfortunately, it is a sign of these times when purposeful, hurtful, and disreputable lies are flung about so frequently that – honesty and integrity have taken a back seat in life.
Personal disappointments can not be washed away with lies. Justification for bad behaviors can not be adjusted with lies. Facts can not be changed with lies. Truth is a non-negotiable as it is either true or it is not true.
Substance abuse crutches are not a lie enhancer.
Honesty begins in the home and it does not change when it leaves the front door.
